  3. I stumbled upon your story on MSN this morning and what a blessing it has been. I'm supposed to talk to a friend about salvation tomorrow but it's my first time doing so and I wasn't real sure how to do it. She came to me and asked me to help her. After reading your story I came to your blog and read that then I found the section "Something Dale would like you to know." What a blessing that section was to me! I've taken the verses and plan to use them as a starting point in talking to my friend tomorrow! I will most definitely be keeping you in my prayers and will share with my small group tonight as well!

  4. Dale,

Your story struck me so hard this morning. God is so good and spared your life because of its value it brings to your family and many others. You are a fighter and a surviver.

I know you will be back on the beach before the summer is out and school starts again.

May God continue to bless you as you have brought many of us such grace.

    Keep fighting Dale.

  5. I read about Dale on msn.com. What a powerful story! God had your back that day, Dale!

I recently saw an episode of "The Indestructibles" on Nat Geo, about a man who was under water for 7 minutes after been trapped upside down in his kayak. Researchers determined he survived due to "Mammalian diving reflex", which simply put, occurs when a person's face is exposed to water below 70*, their systems slow down. Wikipedia has a great article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammalian_diving_reflex.

Whether it was God's grace or a bodily function, thank heaven Dale is with us today!!

  6. Dale,
The second I read the news title this morning, "dramatic rescue, boy revived after being sucked out to sea" I was thanking God for you. I was even more blessed as I read the rest of the news article and found the obvious role the prayers of your friends and loved ones played in your rescue.
God has amazing plans for your life. Our every breath is in His loving hands. Continue to Love and serve God, don't ever forget His loving kindness. And thank you so much for sharing with us your faith.

  7. If you haven't already, be sure to read the portion "Something Dale Would Like You to Know" at the top of this page. This is extremely powerful. What a testimony.

Praise God for His mercy and grace, His protection and favor, His love and comfort!

  9. I was totally touched by this story for one reason above the rest. You laid out the complete plan of salvation and I have never seen that done. You are giving God the Glory. These kids without hesitation knelt down on the beach and openly prayed for their friend. In this lost world that is completely amazing. And I am so blessed by it. I will pray for Dale. Since I am our church hostess and I design and print our weekly bulletin, Dale will also be on our prayer list this week. GOD BLESS every one of you who know why this is a victory story and were willing to tell the world. We will be praying for Dale and his family....

  10. THANK THE LORD !! I just heard of this story and I have to say what a miracle.. This helped me put in perspective that the LORD IS WORKING, the LORD IS HERE, and HE IS WONDERFUL.
How blessed his parents must feel and for all those young Christians to kneel through their pain and call out to our Lord for his will to be done. What an inspiration!!!

  11. Saw the picture and story on MSNBC today. Couldn't help but see my own son in Dale being taken from the water. We just returned from vacation and boogie boarding at the beach on the East Coast.

I will share the article, story and pictures tonight at our youth group meeting with our teens and say some prayers for Dale's complete recovery and for God to use this incident around the world for His glory.

  13. I'd like to send a hug out to his mother, as a mother of 3 boys I can't imagine the stress and worry she must be going through. I'd also like to commend the young men back on the beach. It brought me to tears to see them on their knees - how great it is to see our youth do have a testimony of God and the power of prayer!!

  14. The power of God is awesome! He is the only one capable of bringing Dale back to life. The prayers of all his friends on that beach lifted up Dale to God, and He answered. I hope your page on this blog about being saved will lead to others to eternal life through Jesus. Dale, his family and your church are in my prayers today.

  16. Is there any doubt that God's presence is here?! Share this story and tell all that truly there is a God and His evidence can not only be felt but clearly seen! All we have to do is open our eyes and seek with our hearts! Truly GOD IS WITH US! For me the most powerful picture was the one of the boys kneeling on the beach in prayer. It brought me to tears cause I could feel the power in prayer. We are never more powerful than when we are humbled and kneel before our Lord in prayer and submission! Thank you Father for this present of your presence! *Eve in Colorado*

  17. Yes, just like Jesus said after He was raised from the dead...

"He who believes...in My name they...will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well."

  18. Greetings from Barbados:

I was moved by the sight of those three boys praying on the beach for their friend. To their parents: well done - you appear to have effectively handed them the baton of faith.

    Regards,

  19. My husband just emailed me this story. Our son was in a near drowning accident last June (2010). Thanks be to God he is making good progress. I am grieved that this family is walking through this too. We will pray for you all. Just in case you don't know about this, there is an online group for parents of children who have had a near drowning accident. They have been such a support and a wealth of information for us. It is called PONDS (Parents of Near Drownings). They are quite a praying group too. God Bless you as you walk this journey. May God's presence bring you peace that passes all understanding. May the resurrection power of Jesus fill your son and restore him to health.

    Warmly,

    Nancy

  20. I am both a Christian and a physician and am touched by this story. The photo of your youth group praying on the beach is so moving and earnest. Something caused the paramedics and docs working on him to continue to try despite prolonged recovery of a pulse.
Dale, your story is amazing and has touched many people. One day soon, I hope you can read all these comments and realize that what you went through was not only miraculous, but has allowed many more people to be saved. You did not choose for this to happen to you, but your life, and many, many others, have changed forever.
I am now one of thousands who are praying for you!!!

  21. If this isn't proof that God exists and miracles do happen with the power of prayer I don't know what is. Yes, not all stories turn out the same way despite prayers, but that is because we don't know God's purpose or plan. In this case God had a different plan for Dale, and that was to raise him up to the people who give Him glory and to show the world His grace. Praise be to God and may He continue to bless Dale and his family and friends. Thanks be to God for those who helped in his rescue, and for those paramedics who did not give up on him despite being unable to resucitate him for so long. God was working through all of them.
