I pra...Shalom, Ostrander family

Cleveland again..

I pray daily for you and Dale..

An old timer, I am, but thankful to be here to keep you guys in my prayers. In my seventies now, will be 74 in a few months..

This comes to you from the mountains of western North Carolina...3650 ft elevation in the Appalachian mountains surrounded by acres and acres of forest.

I wish I could be there to give you a hand with Dale...I spent 35 years teaching young ones Dale's age in the public school system in the state of Florida... Began teaching fourth grade in Key West, Florida in 1961...

Would you believe that every morning we began the day with Bible reading, the Lord's Prayer, pledge to the American Flag, and a patriotic song... My, how things have changed.

Just want to say, I can relate with Dale in a very special way... When I was four years old, I had an accident which also left me with brain injuries... So, as you share, Kirsten, your and Dale's daily progress, It is easy for me to really be with you in your step by step daily progress...

Once again, thank you for inviting us into your lives at this time and allowing us to be a part of your journey..even though we are many miles apart..

My love in Yeshua is with you..

Cleveland

I must sasyCleveland Mannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02506208344625488078noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1005582728855125643.post-35705159377053390712012-02-20T17:31:22.203-08:002012-02-20T17:31:22.203-08:00Thank you for keeping us up to date on Dale..

I know we have to be patient, but I do wish Dale didn't have to go through that, but I can't question how God does things. As he told Job, I wasn't there when he created everything, so in reality, I know nothing compared to God and need to let Him do his job through Dale. I am just a very impatient person, but this makes me pray more and pray that maybe God can just speed up the healing a bit more!! I am not giving up on God or Dale!mikeguyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04794891264703300250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1005582728855125643.post-53038958751869535122012-02-17T22:15:01.357-08:002012-02-17T22:15:01.357-08:00My nephew had seizures as well after the accident,...My nephew had seizures as well after the accident, and like Dale, he was put on meds for them. He didn't like the meds so stopped taking them and the seizures returned to their previous frequency, and then, over time, diminished in frequency and severity until ultimately they stopped altogether...no seizures for 4 yrs now. The doctors said basically that the brain doesn't like them either and so builds new "roads" for the messages to travel and abandons the damaged roads...kind of a permanent detour.
Sounds like Dale is progressing in a similar fashion.

My apologies that my earlier post offended, it certainly was not meant to, just to point out that adversity sometime makes a person much stronger in the end. My nephew has it framed on his wall, and he is definitely MUCH stronger than before but it was a tough journey for him and us as well.

A man rushed into the doctor's office and shouted, "Doctor! I think I'm shrinking!" "Hang on a sec," replied the doctor, "you'll just have to be a little patient"Paddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04691177850897741853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1005582728855125643.post-4610815984736962702012-02-17T17:24:45.880-08:002012-02-17T17:24:45.880-08:00Hello:
I've never knowingly had a seizure. I ...Hello:
I've never knowingly had a seizure. I almost wish that I had so that I could relate to Dale and tell him that it gets better. It does seem that his seizures are less frequent and since he doesn't pass out during them, perhaps they are milder. But I don't know if it is the medication working or just the healing process. Since he does not seem to have a reaction to the medication, I think that's a blessing. I will continue to prayer for total healing, I'm trusting The Lord for nothing less.
Here is a joke for Dale (I really do hope these put a smile on his face):
An elderly couple goes to Burger King, where they carefully split a burger and fries. A trucker takes pity on them and offers to buy the wife her own meal. "It's all right," says the husband. "We share everything."
A few minutes later, the trucker notices that the wife hasn't taken a bite. "I really wouldn't mind buying your wife her own meal," he insists. "She'll eat," the husband assures him. "We share everything."
Unconvinced, the trucker implores the wife, "Why aren't you eating?"
The wife snaps, "Because I'm waiting for the teeth!"Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03749311465929003653noreply@blogger.com
